Starting to Get the Hang of This

I was cruisin' around the Wired website when I ran across a story about and by the person attributed with starting blogging in 1997. I agree with his ten points for new bloggers. 

Since my egocentric diatribe in the previous post and reading the Wired article, I am beginning to see an emerging process and content for this journey through the DakotaRez. 

I will begin with a door way to the most dangerous thing confronting DakotaRez. The concept of Tribal Courts and Tribal Law is a non-funny joke when used in the same breath as sovereignty. Sovereignty has become disconnected from the land and is now an institutional process that begins with the tribal governments and not with the people. I probably will expand this accusation/discussion with links in the future.

I had forgotten about this tidbit, blog, that I had laying around. It was one of my earlier attempts at being kool on the web. I thought the concept was good, still do, about being able to post things that I think are "the cats pajamas", create discussion, comment, and insightful dialogue. I have learned the TRUTH about blogging and the success I will have re: what I thought I would accomplish. I realize that this a vanity thing and probably none of the above will happen. It will be a place for me to Rant and Rave about my unsubstantiated facts about living on a Dakota Rez.

This blog is my thoughts, my interpretation, my hermeneutical perspective, my reality on the Dakota Rez. That means anything written, suggested, implied or stated in this blog is not meant to be the TRUTH, the final "official" anything, to be used for fact in any discussion, conversation or institution, or to have relevance beyond this blog and the date and time it emerged from my head to be given life here. I do understand that there will be some who by extreme accident will stumble into DakotaRez with all kinds of assumptions, personal realities and agendas, and maybe some actual knowledge about the Rants and Raves that will emerge in DakotaRez, to them I apologize and will pursue them diligently if they do not READ and UNDERSTAND this post. This is my reality and I take no responsibility for what it does to your reality.
